Step 4 of 17 – Click on “Award Reservation”

This is where you’ll start the booking process using your miles.

Step 5 of 17 – Confirm “Award Reservation” is Selected

Make sure the “Award Reservation” option is ticked before moving on.

Step 6 of 17 – Enter Your Flight Details

Fill in your departure city, destination, and preferred travel dates.

Step 7 of 17 – Search Flights

Double-check your details, then hit “Search ” to see what’s available.

Step 8 of 17 – Choose Your Award Type

At the top of the page, select which type of award (or class) you’d like to use your miles for.

Step 9 of 17 – Select Your Flights

Choose your flights from the list. You’ll see the total miles and taxes displayed at the bottom.
If a flight isn’t available, it may appear as “Waitlisted” — you can choose this to go on a waitlist and hope it becomes available later.

Step 10 of 17 – Try Different Dates (If Needed)

If nothing suitable shows up, click “Search Again” or use the date arrows to check nearby days.

Step 11 of 17 – Review Your Flight Details

Check all your flight information carefully, then click “Next” to continue.

Step 12 of 17 – Enter Passenger and Payment Details

Fill in your traveller information, payment details (for taxes or fees), and any extras like meal requests or seat preferences.

Step 13 of 17 – Confirm Your Booking

Once everything’s entered, your flights will be booked! You’ll receive your e-ticket shortly after.

Step 14 of 17 – Booking for Family Members

You can only use your miles for yourself or relatives within two degrees of kinship (for example, parents, siblings, children, or grandparents).

Step 15 of 17 – Online Booking Availability

All award bookings can be made online — no need to call unless you run into issues.

Step 16 of 17 – Advance Booking Window

Award bookings open 355 days in advance, so plan early to get the best seats.

Step 17 of 17 – If You Can’t Find Availability

If you notice that another loyalty program shows seats available for the same dates, contact ANA Customer Service.
Sometimes, ANA’s online system may temporarily delay or restrict award availability for certain flights.

💡 Good to Know: ANA Mileage Club Booking Tips

You can use your ANA Mileage Club Miles to book flights for yourself or for others — up to nine passengers on the same booking.

While ANA-operated flights can be booked directly online through the ANA website, redemptions with partner airlines (such as United, Singapore Airlines or Lufthansa) may need a few extra steps, including calling the ANA Mileage Club Contact Centre.

ANA usually opens award bookings around 355 days in advance, so booking early gives you the best chance to lock in those sought-after premium cabin seats — especially on long-haul routes to Japan, the US or Europe.

If you see available award seats on a partner airline’s website but not on ANA’s, don’t stress — sometimes availability takes a little while to sync. A quick call to ANA can often reveal extra options.

Pro Tip: Get the Most Value from Your ANA Miles

Not every redemption gives you the same bang for your buck. To make the most of your ANA Miles:

✈️ Redeem for return Business or First Class flights, particularly between Australia and Japan — this is where you’ll often find the best value per mile.
📅 Plan and book early to secure award seats, especially during popular travel seasons like cherry blossom or snow holidays.
💰 Use ANA’s Star Alliance partners to mix and match flights, helping you explore more destinations in one trip.
💼 Combine ANA and partner airlines to lower surcharges and open up extra routing options.

🌏 Your ANA Miles, Your Adventure!

Booking flights with ANA Mileage Club Miles is simple once you understand how it works. With smart planning, flexibility and a touch of strategy, you can unlock amazing value — whether it’s a relaxing getaway to Tokyo or an unforgettable multi-stop journey across the globe.
