How Much Does A Pointrs Search Cost?

A Standard Pointrs Seat Search costs only £5.99!

That’s right, we’ll search the number of seats you’re looking for over a whole month for just £5.99!

For example, if you want us to search for 4 seats for a flight in February 2025, using points and miles, you’ll pay just £5.99. We’ll search every day in February 2025 and let you know which days 4 seats are available on any flight, using points and miles.

You can upgrade to a Premium Pointrs Seat Search if you’d like us to let you know the number of seats available on each flight each day along with flight details such as the flight number, departure and arrival times, duration, layover time, aircraft type and the like.

How Do I Submit A Personal Pointr Request For A Pointrs Seat Search?

Submitting a Personal Pointr request for a Pointrs Seat Search is simple:

1. Request a Personal Pointr with all the details for your Pointrs Seat Search: Personal Pointrs Request

2. We’ll email you a quote for the cost.

Details You Need to Provide:

• Search Type (S = Standard, P = Premium)

• Pointr Number: (e.g. 9061)

• Flight Number: (e.g. 1)

• Loyalty Programme Name: (e.g. Virgin Australia Velocity Frequent Flyer)

• Share Search Results? (Y = Yes, N = No): Share search results with all Pointrs subscribers and receive a considerable discount per search.

Understanding Pointrs Seat Search Details

In the example above, we outline all the details you need to provide. Here, we explain what each detail is.

Search Type

When requesting a Personal Pointr, you can choose either a Standard Pointrs Seat Search or a Premium Pointrs Seat Search. Here’s the difference:

• Standard Pointrs Seat Search: For each day of your chosen month we will tell you when your chosen number of seats are available on any flight that day (see Standard Search Results example below).

• Premium Pointrs Seat Search: For each day of your chosen month we will tell you when your chosen number of seats are available on each flight that day and will give you details of each flight, such as the flight number, departure and arrival times, duration, layover time, aircraft type and the like (see Premium Search Results example below).

Pointr Number

This is a request to search seats for Pointr #9061, which is: Fly Sydney to Singapore Business Return with Singapore Airlines (non-stop).

You can only enter one Pointr Number per request. If you wish to request a search for another Pointr you need to submit a separate request.

Flight Number

This is a request to search for Flight #1, which is: Sydney (SYD) > Singapore (SIN).

You can only enter one Flight Number per request. If you wish to request a search for another flight, such as the return flight, you need to submit a separate request.

Loyalty Program Name

This is a request to search for seats using the loyalty program Virgin Australia Velocity Frequent Flyer.

You can only enter one Loyalty Program Name per request. If you wish to request a search for another loyalty program you need to submit a separate request.

Share Search Results?

This is a request where the subscriber is happy to share search results with all Pointrs subscribers.

Share search results with all Pointrs subscribers and receive a considerable discount per search.

The Standard Pointrs Seat Search cost of only £5.99 assumes that you are happy to share search results with all Pointrs subscribers, much like we do with our Pointrs Seat Radar.

You can elect to forgo the discount and keep search results private, which may help prevent others from booking the seats found.

Select No. Of Seats & Months To Search

This is a request to search for 2 seats and 4 seats in October 2024, April 2025 and September 2025. “This Month” is October 2024 as the request was made on 14 October 2024.

Rather than only being able to request a search for a particular number of seats in a particular month, a request can be made to conduct multiple searches for multiple number of seats in multiple months.

A search for a particular number of seats in a particular month is considered one search. Hence, this request is for 6 searches, each costing £5.99.

Note that searches can only be conducted for a whole month, and not a date range, and searches for incomplete months cost the same as for a full month. A search for an incomplete month can occur when you request a search for the current month, or when you request a search for a month in which bookings are not open for any or all that month.

Also note that searches will only be done for fares that are equal to or less than the fare shown for that loyalty program under “Flights”. For this example, searches will only be done for fares that are 67,000 Velocity Points or less.

The results show:

• 4 seats available in October 2024 on at least one flight on the following dates: 21, 22, 23, 29

• 2 seats available in April 2025 on at least one flight on the following dates: 2, 3, 13, 15, 20, 21, 22, 26, 29, 30

• 4 seats available in April 2025 on at least one flight on the following dates: 9, 10, 23, 25

• 2 seats available in September 2025 on at least one flight on the following dates: 1, 6, 7, 15, 16, 20, 30

• 4 seats available in September 2025 on at least one flight on the following dates: 13, 22, 27

• N/A is showing for 1-14 October 2024 because the search was conducted on 15 October 2024.

The results show the number of seats for each flight along with the flight details as follows:
