Ok, so you’ve found your dream flight and Pointrs has shown you how to spend up to 75% less on it using points and miles. But there’s one problem. You don’t have enough!

You could easily search the Earn More Pointrs to find out how to earn more, which is perfectly fine. But now there is a better way.

Introducing “Earn Points/Miles”!

Pointr #6383 Showing Flight using Qatar Airways Privilege Club

For each flight and for each loyalty program for each flight, you now have a “Earn Points/Miles” button. Click on this button to instantly show the many ways to earn points and miles for your chosen flight and chosen loyalty program. For your above dream flight to Bali, using the fewest points and miles possible, which is through Qatar Airways Privilege Club, when you click on “Earn Points/Miles” this is what you’ll see:

Use the “Please select” drop-down box to see the many ways you can earn the 13,000 Qatar Airways Privilege Club Avios required for the flight.

You’ll then know the many ways you can earn the 13,000 Avios required for the flight.

But wait, there’s more!

Choose one of the selections. For example, choose “Transfer From American Express Membership Rewards (Ascent) 26,000 Points”. You will then be told how to earn these points in a very simple yet detailed way.

In this example, you can earn these points by being an “American Express Platinum Edge Credit Card Holder” or an “American Express Gold Business Card Holder”.  But it doesn’t stop there. For each card, you are then told how much you need to spend to earn the 26,000 American Express Membership Rewards (Ascent) points, split into different points-earning categories.

For example, if you are an “American Express Platinum Edge Credit Card Holder”, you can spend $8,667 at major supermarkets and petrol stations, $13,000 overseas and online in a foreign currency, $52,000 at ATO and government bodies and $26,000 on other eligible purchases to earn the 26,000 points.

So, you can readily see what you need to do to earn the points and miles and also compare against other credit cards to determine the best credit card to use. You can also see other information such as the Pointr to use to transfer your American Express Membership Rewards (Ascent) points to Qatar Airways Privilege Club. It couldn’t be any more simple!

This new feature is available for all flights and all loyalty programs.

It’s a game-changer when it comes to earning the points and miles required for your dream flight!
