At this ratio, the Hilton-to-Velocity transfer is almost never mathematically worthwhile. Hilton points can be redeemed for hotel nights at member rates, and the effective value of a Hilton night is almost always higher than 1,500 Velocity Points per 10,000 Hilton points spent.

World of Hyatt has the most valuable hotel points of any programme — worth approximately 1.8–2.0 cents AUD equivalent per point in the best hotel redemptions.
